The life of a high school counselor or counseling administrator can be hectic with so much to do in so little time. Students requesting access to their academic credentials. Assisting with scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Helping students build their college lists. It’s enough to make your head spin.

The role of the counselor, registrar and other high school administrators has never been more important to the future workforce than it is today. Parchment recognizes the foundational role these individuals play in the lives of students and offers a recurring webinar series, Brown Bag Breaks, pairing administrators with their peers to share best practices, experiences and challenges. Brown Bag Break sessions are peer-led discussions that tackle a variety of topics key to the role of the counseling office. It is important to note, membership in the Parchment network is not mandatory for participation.

On Thursday, March 31 at 1 p.m. EST, Brenda Easterly, Student Data Services Specialist with Frisco Independent School District (TX) will host a session titled “The Credential Library.” Brenda will discuss how her office processed more than 9,000 transcript requests for the nine-school district in their first year with Parchment by leveraging the Credential Library. She will share her insights in streamlining transcript processing as well as the improved student experience that resulted. Register for Brenda’s Brown Bag Break session here.
